Strength

I know you have been scarred,
I know life has always been hard.
Through all the pain you've felt,
Love's something never been dealt.
No matter what has been done wrong,
You take responsibility and that's strong.
So long you stayed in the dark,
Till the light you chose to embark.
Future something you would dread,
And a past you would rather leave dead.
Then we met and could of never knew,
God had always had a plan for us two.
We keep each other from going back,
To a past that turns our hearts black.
A love that we has already grown,
A strength that we have been shown.
I know with all you've been through,
There is nothing that you can't do.
Through life I've had to stumble,
With you I have became humble.
Now with one year out the door,
I pray to God for many many more.
