Not How It Seemed

Not How It Seemed

A Poem by Inked Superman

Last night was weird, or so it would seem,
come let me tell of the man in my dream.
I see him and see how hard he tries,
To say the words, but gets lost in her eyes.
I saw him and could tell by his face,
That his heart was starting to race.
I watch as he tries to figure what to do,
And think I'm glad that I am not you.
As I walk over to take my seat,
Everyone could here his heart beat.
I could he wanted to cower and pout,
As he started to escort her out.
He was wondering how the cards were dealt,
I could only imagine how bad it felt.
I watched as he walked her to the car,
And was shocked to notice his scar.
I watched as he looked in the mirror to see,
The one who went through all it was me.
