No More

The world we live in is so dark,
I wish I could bring out some light.
Find a new path on which to embark,
Learn to not fear the dark of night.
I thought I created a monster within.
It took over all my heart and mind.
It's far worse than any of my sin.
It puts me in an endless bind.
It gains strength from my weakness.
So my heart is what I withdrew,
Released all of my hate and stress.
Then I realized the monster was you.
We said we were friend till the end,
I now know you're just a jerk.
I can now let my darkness defend,
The night where my soul is to lurk.
