Unfamiliar

Unfamiliar

A Poem by Inked Superman

As she lay her hand in mine,
It drew and unfamiliar line.
Between all the hate I feel,
and a love that is actually real.
As I fall down to my knee,
I see what anger has made me.
So long I've been in a dark place,
Looking at an unfamiliar face.
So far away from the light,
Never putting up a fight.
For now love is not near,
But the idea destroys fear.
In her eyes I see a gleam,
Praying she's not a dream.
Maybe she is possibly the one,
My loneliness is finally done.
