The Grey DayA Poem by Ink Angeljust how much does the weather effect our emotionsThe Grey day The dark grey clouds Hang heavily in my heart As a brand new day begins Will I embrace the hail and rain? Will the grey lurk within? Causing sadness, unrest, numbness The thunder rumbles above me The lightning, strikes a chord within me Excitement builds, yet anxiety lingers My breathing changes as I release the grey. In a amid the grey sky, there sits a tiny blue
cloud Just hovering, giving me hope The heavens open I run out barefooted Raise my hands above my head Feeling the coldness of the rain It reaches parts that have laid there Dormant, dead, exhausted. I run my hands through my wet hair Lavishing the pureness Of it all With a new lease of energy I’m off Flying now, on the wings of a white dove. © 2012 Ink AngelFeatured Review
