The Man in the tree, Green may he be

He s green but not always seen, but for those of us who know he s there, oh yes we feel his stare.  He sees all; the travellers from the fair, the ones who hunt their prey, the Monk Jack startled by the slightest noise, the never-ending change, and the forty shades of green, surround him always.  When the night creeps in and the silent blanket adorns the woods, he listens out for the Owl, and watches for the bats, and waits with baited breath for the lady of the woods, a gypsy queen the Goddess, is she Green? Mother Nature’s Queen.

Great stuff. I find Green Men fascinating. I think our collective future as a species depends far more on the Green Man than the likes of Steve Jobs, great though Steve Jobs was. The Green Man is far more important though because if we forget our relationship with Nature all the hi-tec, artificial intelligence there is will not save us. So here's to the Green Man.

I love the imagery in your story! It's well written and entertaining :)

...creative. I love it!

Haha, this is very creative, I enjoyed the story, definitely unique. I love the poetic way in which you wittily described the green man, and I could actually picture the scene- travelers returning, a monk sitting under the tree, and the green man awaiting his queen. This was very entertaining, great job.
