A Poem by A.J.

So I fell upon an angel, lost once, again today. she had nothing but kindness to say

And a gentleness about her sway- in motion, though I knew she might be joking

I wanted so very badly to reach out and hold her, caress her as my own again

But I felt she held nothing but contempt in her gaze as it fell my way sarcastically.

I felt nothing but guilt as I turned away in absolute shame- my failure un-atoned;

For the way I never knew how to handle such a blessing as she….

For the way I never knew exactly what to do to pull you closer to

Now I will sit here and rattle these walls with contempt and anger,

and you will never understand, just how much I needed you.

I agree. 100%. I could think of nothing else.
Sometimes in a moment we are too shy, or too overwhelmed to do something, we freeze litterally and we regret it after, you touch with words this feeling for me pretty well. This was a good poem about having regret of a moment, or how you could do it different... Fantastic, thank you.

thank you so much! Its not often a man freezes up, but when he does, its because of a woman. lol.
