Dust In The Wind

Dust In The Wind

A Poem by Aaron Parker
"

Inspired by "Dust In The Wind" by Kansas and Robert Frost.

"

I got away from it all

With you, in case I fall

*

I wandered on endless journeys

Prospecting, as a pirate treasure,

An interminable yearning

*

It was not of pleasure

Nor of fruit

And 'twas not an inexpensive commute

*

I was not of your preference,

Denied by a nomad of acceptance

*

I lived and struggled

Inside of a bubble,

A capsule of ignorance and rubble

*

I walked an infinite distance

To discover non-coexistence,

I travelled a thousand miles

To find you had not moved an inch
