Preface
What an awful thing breaking up is, losing that one special person that you
loved so much. All those pent up emotions at everything from shortcomings to
jagged words to losing that future that could have been. It just burns you
alive. The only way to move on is to cool that flame and eventually extinguish
it. What better way to relieve that awful affliction than by writing?
The poems
that follow are about misgivings, abuse, and manipulation; however, they are
meant to serve as a mechanism to reflect and move forward rather than a way to
dwell on the past.
