The Riverside SolitudeA Poem by Doyin AdeoyeI love nature...
As I sat on the plank
All alone at the riverbank I listened to the birds chirp Flapping their wings as they fly Like armies, they formed lines in the sky As I enjoyed my solitude With my feet in the flowing water I couldn’t help but wonder If the trees loved the cool breeze as I did For it brought life to everything As I took a walk around I loved the sound of the leaves under my feet And for a while we made music I looked at the glowing rock Under the heat of the sun It was bright and beautiful And for that moment, everything was still And all that mattered was the beauty of nature © 2015 Doyin Adeoye |
