Desperation

I just found this lurking in my computer and really don't remember writing it. I suppose I wrote it when I was feeling desperate and alone.

I am lost and so alone
I want to find some peace
I want to find my path in life
I want to find some release

I'm sick of feeling sorry
For no one else but me
I want be able to gain control
To be the way life used to be

I don’t want to cry anymore
For once I want to enjoy life
I want to end my grief
And ignore all this strife

I don’t want this to go on
I hope it soon will end
Then maybe I’ll find my way
And then my heart will mend
