My Turn

This was inspired by the songs "Iowa" and "The Virus of Life" by the band Slipknot. It's basically a big middle finger to fate and about taking control of my life, but interpret as you will.

Just what I can do

You really think you’ve won?
I haven’t even begun.
You thought that I was weak

You made me your own bane
Cuz now I have control

I will take you out of my heart
And then rip you apart
Bit by bit piece by piece
Just so I can feel release
 I will love hear your scream
You will wish it were a dream
Too bad for you, it's all fo real
And you’ll know just how I feel

I'm a huge slipknot fan.
Virus of life was definately one of their best.


I think maybe you got some of your lines just a little too close to the real thing though.

Also, things usually turn out better if you don't try so hard to rhyme. It definately had good parts to it though.

I love the emotion in this.....
The rhyme is flawless as well as the flow, but the emotion just goes right to the heart and you could get that heart out yet, with words alone...
