Whispers in The WindA Poem by DSKingIt's not long, you should just read it 😋
In the faintest light of morning
O wind, whisper to me please Sing a song of happiness And send it on the breeze You see, a thousand thoughts do clutter this mind that knows no ease I have to tell somebody this But no one will hear my pleas Yet, somehow, I feel you with me As you softly caress my cheek But I am not a fool, I knows Nothing is ever as it seems In the glowing afternoon, As you gently touch the leaves I’m sleeping soundly in your arms content to hide away in dreams For reality holds bitter truths Oh how it taunts me endlessly But even if I say these things They’re still things no one believes So wind, can you hear my voice? Can you hear these tearful screams? O wind, please take me with you! How I’m longing to be free But despite the paths I’ve traveled What can I retrieve? Everything I’ve done’s for not So now I’m begging on my knees In the darkening sky of evening, O wind, listen to me, Please Take all these lonely tears I’ve cried and carry them out to sea. In the grey sky of mourning O wind, what do you see? A voice, a song, a whisper? All that’s left of me… © 2016 DSKing |
