The art of INTROSPECTION

The art of INTROSPECTION

A Poem by Riya
"

......Have you ever wonder what is introspection? .....

"
Have you ever been a victim of hypertension?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever been surrounded by depression?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever been seeking for appreciation?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever found yourself being a puppet of this modern civilization?,
Yes.
Then, practice the act of introspection.

Have you ever lacked the feeling of motivation?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever felt guilty of your introversion?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever been strucked in life's calculation?,
Yes.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever enjoyed the sense of observation?,
No.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever felt the beauty of nature’s creation?,
No.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever wonder how to cope up with mental destruction?,
No.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever wonder how it feels to have a sense of realisation?,
No.
Then, practice the art of introspection.

Have you ever found answers to all your questions?,
No.
Then, my friend go and invest on self-introspection.

Start practicing the art of meditation.

Life as we live it presents us with observations to be made and perceptions (both ours and others) to be dealt with. Knowing how to view is not the same as knowing what we view. Our morality falls within all the shades of gray we can imagine. The knowing and personal understanding of our selves is an aid but not the be-all or end-all that we need to interact societally and morally with the not-us that surround us daily.

Life a word of action
Events make life
Words document the events in life

Hence we know the might of the pen
These words are active
Prompting thoughts erupts the electrons in your brains

When reflecting on a script
Internal inspection begins
Revelations begin multiple and simultaneous whirlwinds

Memories from forgotten quagmires of thought
Reflections form from that which we restrain
Eternally running from ourselves

Looking at the internal hour glass every second
The breath you take is no where as precious
The heart beats rhythm to truth and knowledge

We walk on entrances to our souls
We see through the key to all
Above all we know we are a farce to our existence

No wonder humanity is a mess
Knowing the responsibility to know completely one's self
Absolute energy would we be as this is how we'd have to exist

You see to attempt to reflect on others is mental salve
The Word is not bearable to mankind
Knowledge kills, look at history

Dreams save
Life threatens
Death releases

To look at yourself is murder
To look at others is a mercy
To look at the world is laughter

Pluck wisdom from thy mind
Wallow in stupidity
This, my friend, is true salvation from the prison of knowledge.

Learning to meditate and reach a calm state can certainly provide us with many benefits in a world which is fast moving and often unkind. I like the way you have thoughtfully approached this poem Riya, asking the question and giving the answer. Good to read you again. It's been a while.

I love it.
Easy to get caught-up and very difficult to escape. I agree dear Riya. We need meditation and escape to a calm place to gather our mind.

I do meditate to find sleep. My mind never can rest. Thank you my friend for sharing your words and your thoughts.

Glad to know that sir:). Thank you.
Eloquently written poem friend. True meditation along with introspection are key to getting that bit closer to truth, acceptance of truth and striving for more truth.. You can advise others, but only they themselves can explore. Wish you a content and bright journey ahead.
Regards.

Start with meditation then you can try introspection or you may try both side by side.

LOL let me get this straight... I need to practise the art of introspection? I loved this the fine art of critical thought has been so very lost these days to the masses:( the very notion of introspection gets clicked away at the next social media MEME:( what a lovely thing you just said here I meditate everyday (well mostly) and I do practise introspection in its mantra as well as on the page of my scrawl thank you RIYA

Love the message!

As I was reading the first half I was hoping you would explain the "why" of introspection...which you did when you switched to the "No." half. Nice duality made there.

Thanks for the read!

Glad to know that you liked it. Thanks a lot for your review :) and welcome always.
Once again, I must dump on your well-thought-out message. I know you mean to be inspirational here, but it sounds preachy to me. Don't tell people what to do. Nobody likes being told how to live. You make problems sound too simplistic. People don't just make up their minds to be something & then everything is fixed after that. These struggles go on & on for years. You express yourself in generalities. What exactly does "introspection" even mean? Everyone has a different way of seeing this word, but you do not give us any idea what you mean by it. What does "introspection" look like? What does it sound like or feel like? How do people do it? Why does it fix everything. This is so incomplete. You can't just tell people to do something without explaining it better. How can we believe you? This is not convincing becuz you do not SHOW us what this means. Stop telling people how to live their lives & try painting a scenario that SHOWS how things can go better if we do "this" -- whatever you think people should do. Pick one thing & focus in to make us know it & feel it & believe it. This is just generalized preaching. It will never sell to anyone with a discerning brain (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
