Bone

Bone

A Poem by Ben M

your larynx should spill

hot white blood onto the carpet

hot body breathing

goosebumps, pant legs, hair curls

my skeleton is screaming

inside of a tin box

wear my jacket, dear

make me feel whole again

and snow beginning to fall then

the radios ex-communications failing just outside of their destinations

destinies left unfulfilled

before Gods Horizon

your eyes sink back into your skull

i feel them

soft

struggle for the words

struggle against it

huddle for warmth

this could be it, now

nuclear dust

falling ashes

hot breath on my thighs

hot nails scraping

were in a hedge maze, now

the entrance is closed in

my teeth are stuck together with your glue

i want to strike you

Jesus, filthy hammer

my garden isnt growing

skip a rock, toss a stone

my blood can never flow again

im no longer the Nile

ire, Pestilence growing again

flies buzz about the pile of corpses in my bedroom

stained tissues, stained tissues

we cant pull out: baby boy

my fake love burns brighter than a thousand molten suns

yet still, when the walls come down around me

im left naked

shivering
