Truth Silenced

Truth Silenced

A Poem by Mek & the Infinite Madness

...She
used to be a ballerina
in a time when
Jesus was still
free
Man
was the anomaly that
ravaged her for the sake of
power
and the irony behind it
We blame the heavens
when the moonlight
speaks of
sadness
that feeds the malice of hate
Never did
a fabricated smile mean anything...
It is
but a desperate attempt
to boast
a strength in misery
And pride...
Pride is
another poison that
we indulge ourselves into
even if the streets get darker
even if
the path gets heavier with
despair
Chances are
she'll be forgotten and
we may never know
why
we sink into the depths
trying
to define the
anger...
