The People Who Built the World

The People Who Built the World

A Poem by Mek & the Infinite Madness

...It's not about
the sun and the

sunshine it brings
or the chirping birds or butterflies or
the smile that clings
It's not about the clothes we

wear and not really
about the choices we
make
Not even the alcohol we drink
or the regrets of
a dull morning
It's not about the dreams or

the fantasies of
loneliness
And never about the teardrops we've cried
or the indulgence in
sympathy
Don't even think about it...
There are times that
it's not about the right
or
the wrong or the
things that you can
do or the things you
think you
can do
But at the end of the day
it's mostly about the
simplest
complexity of being
us...
