Men of Faith

Men of Faith

A Poem by Mek & the Infinite Madness

...Different hues
they separate the heavens
from this world
Faith is
a fragment from colliding stars
Beliefs were twisted
into a prejudicing principle
of those who are worthy
and not
Slowly consuming us
from within
Selfless has its own
irony to tell and
sometimes
the only way to free ourselves
is to set everything on
fire
and listen
to those who will scream
We are but bones
decaying to ashes
And in the end
truth will emerge
and indeed
we are our own
victims...

This is amazing, I adore everything about this. It's honest and still dark, so very insightful and thought provoking. We convince ourselves of so much that we veil ourselves from the simplest of truths. My favorite,
"We are but bones
decaying to ashes
And in the end
truth will emerge
and indeed
we are our own
victims.."
