They Say It's Only A ConceptA Poem by SnarfyThey say things they don't mean.
I have this odd fascination with time.
With the changes it entails: From horse to engine. With the moments it represents: Like the most cherished memory. With how swiftly it flows: Like the most dexterous cat. I should mention cameras. Did you know they could freeze it? A photograph sometimes isn't as cruel as the sheer thought. You can hold onto it, it won't slip away this time. Time. There it is again. It seems like you won't ever go away. But once you're gone you're never coming back. I get confused sometimes (go away!) I say I miss it, but I really miss the people. Who they were; who we were. Some would say it's time to move on. How can it do this? It's only a concept, yet so dauntingly infinite. At least I can prove our friendship was something real. Thank God for that camera.
