Pendulum

Pendulum

A Poem by InfectEd Heart

"
Duality of life,
Singularity of sorrow.
My mind is filled with strife,
Not sure what is to come tomorrow.
A body swings back and forth,
Like a grandfather's pendulum.
The body goes limp,
His fading conscious is interim.
I'm a bum in the slums,
I'm feeling glum and numb.
I'll become the sum of young and dumb,
And beat the f*****g war drums.
But I'll start running while humming,
To the beat of the snare.
Even if my mind isn't clear,
And if I'm under fire.
