People don't care if you get a promotion.
People don't care if you show them your devotion.
People don't care if you're drowning in the ocean.
People only care if you give in to their notion.

Your day to day is jaded, complicated,
Messed up, tailored to be hated.
Life is shredded up like it was grated.
The story of your time will soon be dated.

You sometimes feel your mouth should be sewn shut,
So the a******s don't tell you to get your throat cut.
Everything you do is just instinct, but
All it does is land you in the rut.

People don't care if you follow your desires.
People don't care if you set the world on fire.
People don't care if you dangle from the wire.
People only care if you're death's next buyer.
