A problem

A problem

A Poem by Corinna Bridgebury

The problem is this -
I tried and found
I can't write about you
With the same words I used before.
I need new words, stronger words
For hope and joy and love.
They've been used for other things,
trivial things
So using them, would, by association
trivialize something
That is so far from trivial that I
(And I am usually so good with words)
cannot describe it.

I find in your words many feelings that I often have about writing. Your expression shows a fair measure of frustration that is the real reality of life and writing. Its question is expressive and hits the point well.
