The Birth of an Answer

The Birth of an Answer

A Poem by Corinna Bridgebury

An answer lives

When it ceases to be page-dry

To rustle quietly when turned over

And becomes more than words.

10 minutes

or 20 years

after it was first thought

The world feeds it,

And it grows.

It crosses the blood-brain barrier

A spark of lightning

Coursing through your veins

And you can feel it in your gut

And behind your eyes

Physical and mental

Synchronized.

Then the answer lives,

And you live the answer.

I like this!
There's truth in the fact that an answer must be more than words. An answer must be believed and become action.
I loved the strength the poem gathered as it went on, once I reached "and you can feel it in your gut" there was a notable crescendo of power and it seemed to pull me along like a tide.
Very good!
