Wearing the disguise of happiness

Wearing the disguise of happiness

A Poem by Indyinn
"

None needed

"

Sometimes familiars are strange

And sometimes strange is familiar

But together they are constant

This life, this now is fleeting

When time is done and done is timed

I fear my future is bleeding

Into the pasts I’d rather forget

From the forgets I want to remember

When does all I know last forever?

Walking ahead but always behind

Sees solitude beckoning for my lucidity

Faithful companion isolation finds

Dark cloaks wrappings around intelligence mind numbing

The light insight seems profound

From what am I running?

Thought process must insist

Everything makes sense since

Sense makes everything exist

Or so I was told by others unless

I believe as they do, cursed not blessed

This is not thinking I protest

Perhaps I choose the precipice

Rather than the spirit less

Kiss of death is gentleness

Wearing the disguise of happiness

Sincerely a cynical view of life.
Struggling with fears and emotions
not quite believing is this all there
is. Yet a slither of light peeks through
this sadly beautiful write.
