Stress fracture

Stress fracture

A Poem by Indrid Cold

The shadows of dusk are reaching for me
To blind me with darkness and set me free
Oh! How I long to be
In a place where I can finally breath
Where no longer the pain can erode
The very essence of my tired soul
The tears in my eyes have long since fell
As I step out beyond the pale
Long have I sat without someone’s touch
As my pain now becomes my crutch
As much as I want this all to end
I know now another night
Is around the bend….
