𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒆 !A Poem by INDRAJITHWhat I yearned for, all these years...
And in she came, uninvited, at the edge of night
When all I craved was peace, far from the light The corners, where shadows were my kin Nothing I sought from this world"just me, lost in my own. But then she came... shattering every door I'd sealed She entered, her presence soothing yet foreign to my soul She stepped in, and the harsh sunlight bled, Into my darkness, my home"she spread. She shone like a star, a fairy, perhaps, And I could only look up, lost in her gaze I begged, I prayed, “Don’t let your light shine, I could live fine without it"don’t let me know.” She simply existed, her presence a spark, A flame that ignited a longing, stark. To be near her, to know her"oh, how I yearned, For a love that could heal, for the heart I had burned. I saw her up close, my heart full of hope, Her hands ice cold, but they helped me cope, A chill that ignited a flame in my heart, And in knowing her, my soul found its spark. "Where were you, my love, all this time?" I cried, "Why did you leave me here, so long denied?" "Everyone has their time," she softly sighed, "And with that, she left"her wings carried me wide." And that’s when I knew"she wasn’t uninvited, It was I who had called her, my last breath her invitation... © 2025 INDRAJITH |
