To Love And To HurtA Poem by Indra DharmaI've fallen in and out of love far too many times and so I guess it was right for me to write (hey that rhymes!) about the cycle of love. It's like a bunch of small explosions Coming together into one huge blast There are times it lingers; the questions But particularly this time, you let it pass That's how it is in every beginning Standing side by side, leaning to each other Feeling invincible with one another I remember how it all felt I wish I could keep it wrapped in a small jar And open it once in a while, So I can remember you when you've grown far Do you remember how it felt? Now that time has aged the love we had I look back every once in a while And wonder why the memories make me sad The once unforgettable blast has suppressed To little fireworks lighting in my chest As each burst became more silent And the thought of you becomes violent - I.D. © 2016 Indra DharmaFeatured Review
