Our Secret PlaceA Poem by Indigoshadows
Your eyes burn through me
From across the room Tracing up my bare legs Until they meet my eyes And for a moment they Lock me... Invite me... Into our secret place. The place where desire Taunts the threshold Of action. Where in the quiet Of the wandering thoughts-- Howls animal passion... Beneath the surface of civility. The handshake Begging for more time To explore eachother. And when I come to, I'm biting my lower lip And drawing in a quick breath Followed by a restless moan. Drawn into wants Impossible to transpose Even if we wanted to... Yet so hard--- To place In the waking world. © 2019 Indigoshadows |
