Animals like blankets

animals like blankets

my cat, oh yes she does

the blanket it surrounds her

in all of her grey fuzz

you may think she is finicky 

you may think she would dart away

but every time I cover her up

she sleeps throughout  day

the blanket it envelops her

the butterfly she becomes

it acts as the nestling cocoon 

to the long winter's sleep, she succumbs
