Asleep in the snow.

Asleep in the snow.

A Poem by Riley Jules

In the snowy forest he sleeps,
a flow of nightmares that he keeps,
a past haunting that he weeps,
anxiety that runs so deep.
The sun reflects the snow,
it brings a new day that he knows,
his own self his own foe,
he sleeps to mask the woe.
Big brown eyes with he stares,
marked with the pain that he bears,
along with the love that he shares,
with his lips to show it he dares.
The snow brings him no cold,
his sleeping state that it molds,
he is always so brilliant, always so bold,
diluting the hardships that he holds.
Always tries so hard for me,
if only his brown eyes could really see,
that ill be here no matter what's meant to be,
even when the snow melts, he will see.
