I AM NOT A GIRLA Poem by CherubI AM NOT A GIRL. SHAKING LEAVES AND LAVENDER
WAVES HAVE ALWAYS COMFORTED ME IN THAT SENSE. NATURE COULD NEVER GENDER ME OR THE THINGS I DO. THE THINGS I WEAR DON’T
MATTER WHEN YOU’RE SITTING ALONE CONTEMPLATING THE BIGGER
THINGS LIKE WHERE WE ALL CAME FROM OR IF WE’RE ALL JUST STARDUST MADE UP OF TINY PARTICLES OF
CARBON AND OXYGEN NEVER KNOWING WHEN LIFE WILL
CEASE TO EXIST FOR OURSELVES OR IF SOUL MATES REALLY EXIST. © 2015 Cherub |
