Our Queen That Has Vanished From Her ThroneA Poem by Radioactive-Nuclear-KidXOn Saturday, 1st of November 2008 was the birthday and unfortunately the untimely death of a vibrant individual whose confidence and quirks inspired many. How do you comfort a grieving father? When his fortuity has caused the unpropitious demise of his daughter? How do you comfort an agonizing mother? When she has witnessed a blunder become a horror? How do you console a younger brother? When every birthday will forever remind him of his loss? How do you comfort a distressed friend? When they had laughed and joked that very weekend? How do you comfort a dejected school? When they have been so inspired throughout her rule? Is it really impossible to convince yourself, That someone so precious and strong, could succumb to death? Can you explicate to an entire nation, That they have suffered an inestimable lost, for the future generations? And however much we would like to trade spaces with her own, We will not receive compensation now, Those who will bereave for years after, Must now seek comfort in our God, the Father Though we fail to perceive her fate, And further, why now? We must accept that God’s powerful arms have taken her home, Though we are suffering now, She could have suffered even more, And it is probably best that she left us in the time and fashion God had chose. To the despondent Father, Mother Brother and All, What I can discern, Is that she is safer and happier than any of us now.
