Nothing is a Wonderful Word

Nothing is a Wonderful Word

A Poem by Philip Franklin
"

Beware

"

Nothing is a Wonderful Word

Nothing is a wonderful word

When it’s truly for free

But nothing always means nothing

When the offer is for me

Nothing is a wonderful word

But beware the tiny print

In contracts commercial and emotional

You may well end up skint   (means broke cockney word)

Nothing is a wonderful word

But in my humble opinion

The only word in English that’s worse

And I revisit Ruyard Kipling

is IF.

I love the pace of this piece, you have a aba format. I like that style. Although it may have fell flat at the end. I too am guilty of that. But it's just an opinon. You are doing wonderful xo -D.E.
