Delusional Child

Delusional Child

A Poem by Ina

Father and mother
both guilty of my existence
they blame each other
and keep me at distance
am I not hurt?
just a damaged child
undesirable dirt
captive and wild
this place you claim real
conveys me not out to
thus my sentences reveal
what you claim untrue
am I yet changing dreams?
I cannot calm down
lost within their screams
I'll silently lay and drown
patient of unwanted desires
wait for me not a minute less
as my wisdom retires
words gently would digress.

Very sad I know people from a family like that. I am quite lucky I grew up in a loving family despite being blind in one eye and hard of hearing I have a gift of appearing normal haha

The second story told by the colored letters is astounding and deep, for starters. Then there's the poem itself, and it's a beautiful one, even though pain courses through it. It's something I wish no person had to go through. Well written.

i loved the whole poem but certain parts spoke to me more.
--"Father and Mother both guilty of my existence." Because parents often blame their children for ruining their lives when it's their fault.
--"Am I not hurt?" I liked this because its what I say sometimes when people say rude or un-needed things to me.
But I really do think that this is a good poem; your reason for writing this? IDK but i'm glad you wrote it. Great write.

Sometime words are said that are not true. Children should make a life complete. The poem started with a sad story and ended with confusion. We need to learn to be better then the bad examples in a life. A excellent poem.
