Friends?

Another day another poem

Friends? 

Whats the definition?

I haven't got a clue.

Do you?

They say they're people who stick up for you,

Love you,

Laugh with you,

Do everything with you.

I don't have that.

I never have 

Unfortunately I don't think I ever will...

They lie.

They hate.

They mess you up.

Give you problems.

They hurt you.

I've cried,

For I've tried,

But, I'm done with trying to make friends.

I pick pets over these people.

I pick family over these people. 

What's your definition?

You haven't got a clue anymore?

That's what I'm here for.

A real friend will pick you up at the police station and bill you out. A real friend will come and get you when the car is broke down. A real friend will celebrate the good and the bad days with you. A lot of ways to describe a friend. I hope you are doing well. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This got me thinking about someone, an old friend who decided to leave and to end our friendship. LOL. It's difficult finding real friends. You're really lucky if ever you find one; someone who understands you, who is proud of you, who accepts you, who doesn't talk behind your back, those sort of qualities. However, gotta keep on going and strive hard to look for the 'one' who can back you up at any time. A TRUE FRIEND. Must be a tough day to search for him/her. I personally liked this poem. Great write. :)

I would suggest that perhaps they're not friends then?
And family can be just as bad...
But you certainly shouldn't give up on people.
It's like when you're shopping for that perfect dress that makes you feel just right, lifts your spirits...
You gotta try a few on before you find one that fits you.
Ok, maybe not the best analogy but you get the gist, right?
