Night Sky Memory

Star light star bright,
Reveal to me your inner light. 
And as I gaze at you tonight,
How I wonder why you fight. 
You sit up there in skies of gray,
Never seen in light of day.
You sit up there so far away, 
Regretting what you didn't say. 
You wait alone for me to see,
What you illuminate for me.
Yet from the light I still flee, 
Wanting what can never be.

We want what we mostly can not have.. especially such a light or inspiration as you have written here. Great high rhythm, rhyme and flow.. an ever-spinning metaphor. Brilliant in it's simplicity.. yet complex in the mystery. Life can be such a strange place, an adventure even. This writing is definitely for all ages and universally touching all. Awesome.
