Inspiration

I'm really doting on this woman. Whenever I see her face, she inspires me to write a burst of short poems. I just hate when the burst ends.

    I saw her and the words flushed out of me
 Running down the sluices in my mind
       and through my fingers the thoughts were born
 given life through another mind
              through another pair of eyes

        Like a flash of light

             the inspiration returned.

      But like the flame of candle
               it was quickly snuffed out
