Snowflake

Snowflake

A Chapter by Scott Christian
"

Sort of a companion piece to "Pane". Note this is my first riming poem in almost a year.

"
I watched one chilly winter morn
as a snowflake passed my eye
From the aether zenith she was born
and fell with grace from the sky
A ballerina of unique design
a sight that makes my heart flutter
How I wish I could make her mine
  How she'd never want another
I watched her swirl and waltz and glide
  to the Earth forever down
Though no matter how hard I tried
she disappeared when she hit the ground
