I can feel your heart beat softly against my ear

When I hug you close,my dear

But day after day,I find

That you shove me away

 

What is so wrong with me?

Am I just some art to see?,

Something decent to look at but nothing much

something that you dare not touch?

 

When I kiss your soft lips my mind goes wild

But day after day my lips are exiled

My heart aches when your away

And you never seem to want to stay

 

Is it something I did,

That leaves you so offended?

Is there something you want

That being with me begins to taunt?

 

You say that I’m the best,

That I’m better than all the rest.

Then why am I being so shunned?

You wonder why I am always so bummed.

 

My mind is a whirl

Because you’re a glistening pearl

Saddened my heart feels

This denouement is so surreal
