Someone Else

What I was feeling at the time

 

She’s happy in her own little world.

She’s unique, an individual

She’s special, something to aspire to

She’s bright, full of life

She’s so carefree

She’s always smiling

She’s always trying

To tell someone else.

That she’s safe in her own little world

She’s alone, isolated

She’s different, something to be afraid of

She’s dark, close to death

She’s so heavy with emotion

She’s never smiling

She’s always trying

To be someone else

When I read this, I immediately thought of "The mirror has two faces"... the external one we let the world see and the internal we keep to ourselves.
