Windows

Windows

A Poem by Clover

Windows in the world,
Big and small, old and new.
You can see anything if you look through.

We're all in front of windows
Sitting, staring, everyday.
We can't tear ourselves away,
But there's a new world every second
And we watch the old ones fray.

We're all alone in one big crowd,
The windows join us, split us,
Lead us around.
Tell us what to say,
What to do,
When to do it.

Our eyes drool with anticipation,
What will happen next?
What's through that window,
Or this one over here?

Each one shows you something different,
Always changing, something new.
I'm telling you now I can't stand it,
And yet I sit here, looking through.

Look through windows,
Big and small,
One day maybe,
I'll break them all.

Wow, this is incredible. I totally get so much visual from it. It could be illustrated to in a children's book to being in a teen or mature book with illistration because it is so powerful. This has a really great pace to it and really feels like it is picking up steam to finally where someday they just might break them all.
