Stranger In The Night

Stranger In The Night

A Chapter by *~Imperfectly Me~*
"

Inspired by a poem that Infinity's Shadow wrote, so if you like it go check out his poem!!! It's Called Drifting Darkness and it's amazing!!

"

His eyes took mercy on me

While I cried in the darkness of the night

bruises take away my appeal

No man will want me tonight

This man took pity on me

My eyes red with tears

He asked me who

I simply pointed, he gave me an adieu

His eyes darkened in the moonlight

As he walked into the door

To hear a grown man shriek and cry

Made me more than a simple w***e

I loved this! It was like hearing my own imagination from a mirror reflection. Showing the chivilry of a man, as he takes in the girls pain and defends her honor.

The stanzas perfectly set with discription exploding this moment in time into the readers mind; like a movie on a screen.

Great Write!

I don't read a lot of poetry, so I've don't consider myself a true judge of quality, but I really like your vampire poems so far. I've never read one quite like this before. Very interesting piece.

I really enjoyed this, I had to read it a couple times to get the whole "feel" of it.. but it reads like a short story. Also made me think of my fiance. he's my fierce dragon,,,, always so ready to run to my rescue.. this was very easy to follow and the visual was excellent.

The scattered thoughts of a prostitute . . . very revealing. Cool.

This was alright for me, but you kind of threw off the peice as far as rhyming goes. You rhymed in the first and last stanza, but went off in the second. Not sure if that was meant to be intentional.

WoW! I liked this one :) All of her day-to-day hardships and pain, a kind soul saw more in her heart, and comforted it. Beautiful :)
