I wrote this for the contest 'in a line' but then realised it was closed, kept the entry anyway.

"
Dappled daylight dripped onto my toes as I wiggled them, causing the sunbeam freckles to jump about, and as the final beep sounded my heart was not in that hospital bed but instead lying within a summers day.
