Whirring, click click, flashA Poem by paperdaydreamsA light hearted poem about falling in love
Whirring, click click, flash
Another memory that's saved in my mind forever Along with the macro shot Of your green eyes The tie dye of your pupils And the ink blot of your iris Dotted in the center of material Whirring, click click, flash Another portrait shot of your hair dancing Playfully through the yellow brick road Of the sunset sky Because when we're together Your eyes are my emerald city And you give my tin man body a heart Whirring, click click, flash A blurred out background as all the focus is on you I don't care for any exotic paradise If i saw a pig flying past I'd only exclaim a damn Because some winged pork chops Ruined my image of you Whirring, click click, flash That picture of your smile as you fall back in my arms Every pixel holding a tiny particle Of your perfection Your lips tainted rose with The sweet cherry juice Of your laughter on a summer's day Whirring, click click, flash Every second I spend with you, a pinned polaroid Kept in my rib cage chest Beside that heart shaped sticker You gave me on valentines Primary school 1982 I could never forget Your chubby cheeks splattered with freckles Your map of my future kisses Dimpled as you smiled shyly at me And held out your precious offering As I gave back my own love struck heart Along with my navy blue jacket I gave you that rainy Tuesday morning And the pen I lent you In Mr Jackson's biology class for the lesson Those are the three things I never did get back...
