Dot

Dot

A Poem by paperdaydreams
"

Based on personal experience a poem about insecurities

"
I look at the mirrors surface
And even though it holds no flaws
The image it bears to stare back at me
Clutches my insecurities in her jaw
Her eyes are a shade of greenish brown
But they're more than a colour beneath
They tell a thousand stories entitled
Those inked notes she holds between teeth
Her hair curls like flickering flames
The auburn shade of crinkling atumn leaves
Her skin dotted with freckles
That dance over her breast every time she breathes
Her grandma told her they were fairy footprints
But the bullies, they thought not
It's what her DNA determined
Her whole life planned out from the point
of a dot

All our lives are planned out from the point of a dot. Bullies should be treated as criminals and given a jail sentence,i think that way bullying will reduce.

Nice poem.

So, I really love this poem. And it isn't because I can relate to the struggles of a ginger (although I do know you guys get treated like s**t). I love this poem because I could see every detail, even fairies dancing on skin. It had a classical feel to it. And it was beautiful. You have a fan.
