A Story by Isabella Anne Williams

Why? Why be known as black, white, Mexican, polish, Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans? Why live your life being defined by a label? There is no one word that defines us. I am not just white, black, gay or straight. No, I and more, so much more. I am funny, kind, accepting, strong, etc... And it kills me to see these labels define people. It's not right. Something has to be done about this because I will not live my life just being known as that white girl, or the bisexual girl. I don't want to be known as one word. One label. I do not accept this. I will not accept this.
