Nighttime Haunts

Nighttime Haunts

A Poem by Paradoxical

I just can't seem to sleep tonight
I guess it's too hard of a fight
And it's always hurt, you know
But I can never tell you so
At least tonight I'm not afraid
Because away my terrors have stayed
So when I go out, in the dark
There are no secrets, not a mark
But that only goes to show
Where my nightly creatures go
Hidden in my mind at night
They're only there to teach me right
And I hope you'll understand one day
Why my hope rides on a ray
For the sun expels my fear
And brushes away every tear
But, you see, I'll never know
Why my dreams will haunt me so...

About
I write because it is my dream to be a writer and I enjoy it. I can pour my heart into a poem or a story and make it as artistic as I want. It's a beautiful thing to have the words to express myself w.. more..
