Burning Bridges

Burning Bridges

A Poem by Paradoxical

Fire
Ravaging wood
Matches lit up
We burn the bridges
The connections to our minds
Our ties and bonds, they're severed
We can never hear each other again
The bridges cross over our minds and bodies
But we need to cut all of our alliances
We are kin no more, we have to be separated
So we burn the bridges that link all of us together
Our network, our union, was cut from the inside for the orphanage
We used to be one, and now we are none, the doors are closed...
