Danger

Danger

A Poem by Paradoxical
"

I watched a movie on the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima during WWII and started randomly writing. This is what came out.

"
Looking through an eyeglass
At words, scrawled on paper
In this silly little class
I daydream out the window

A fire in the sky
The sun is blotched out
By black clouds, up high
Ash falls and covers the ground

Shock waves cut down stone
Blood drips from broken glass
Burnt and dying they moan
People flail and writhe

Rain falls down; black
Filled with poison
Dripping; seeping into cracks
Ridding the land of light

We should have listened
To the warning we held
Danger glistened
On the crest of life

Great potential. Very effective and amazing imagery and diction. The poem had somewhat of a strange flow to it, but it definitely works for the style and meaning behind it. I felt extremely moved by your words, and felt the utter urgency in them. Really great work!
