Chapter Seven: The ChallengeA Chapter by Imagination-mageHiccup awoke to the smell
of paint. She turned, seeing Dreki in the bed with her again. She learned over
the weeks that Dreki had the unusual habit of sneaking into her room in the
middle of the night and sleeping with her. Yes, it scared the living daylights
out of her every morning but after week after week, she got used to it. This
morning, Hiccup found Dreki cuddling with her so Hiccup pried his arms from her
waist and sat up. “Why good morning.” A voice said. Turning she found a boy with a canvas resting
on a stand, paint on a little platter and wearing baggy brown clothes and
having semi shoulder length brown hair, bright brown eyes and a childish smile
for a teenager. Hiccup looked at him with drossy eyes and said “Is every
morning gonna end up with someone in my room?” “Apparently so.” The boy replied. “Now, just return to
sleep!” Hiccup glared and said “Go
away please.” “B-But I’m in the middle of master piece!!” the boy said.
“Who’re you anyway?!” Hiccup screamed, Dreki shooting up
and looking around. He looked at the boy, suddenly bearing his teeth and
clinging to Hiccup who was forcibly pressed against his chest. “Get out!” Dreki growled. “Bu-but…” the boy said before Dreki let out a ferocious
growl. The boy sniffled before quickly grabbing his things and bolting for the
door. Hiccup fought her way out of her boyfriends grip and said “Okay that was
mean.” “What, “ “Yeah, he gave himself that name because he’s
mischievous.” Dreki said. “And worst of all he pops out of no where at the
wrong time.” “Sounds like a peeping tom.” Hiccup said, she rolled out
of bed and walked to her dresser. Dreki got out of the bed as well, stretching
his joints out and giving a wide yawn. Hiccup turned, spotting his dragon teeth
pointing out. Hiccup grabbed some clothes and threw them on the bed, Dreki
looking at the clothes as if expecting Hiccup to throw it out. “What?” Hiccup asked. “Well….to be honest….I don’t really agree with your
fashion sense.” Dreki said before a sweater hit him in the face. He pulled it
off and only shrugged continuing “I’ve seen you under those clothes Hiccup, no
need to hide skin.” That only gave him a pair
of jeans thrown at his face. “Well I’m sorry that
I’m not like those s***s at my school Dreki.” Hiccup said, she was grinding her
teeth now. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Dreki asked, he rose from
his spot and made his way to Hiccup who was too busy looking through her
clothes to actually notice him basically stalk towards her. “I don’t wear clothes like other girls cause….cause…”
Hiccup hadn’t really thought about it before. Hannah had always told her she
dressed sort of frumpish. She turned
when she finally decided on a shirt only to run in Dreki’s chest making her
face heat up. “Hiccup, your not telling me something are you?” Dreki
asked, he eyed her closely making the blush on Hiccups face all the more
noticeable. “What, yeah right.” Hiccup said, walking past him and
towards the bed. Dreki dug through her dresser, pulling out a platted mini
skirt and a shirt that reached her hips.
“You don’t have school today right?” Dreki asked. “Yeah, now don’t be a pervert.” Hiccup warned. “I’m
taking a shower which means no peeping no
grabbing and no get-together-bathes!” “I swear on my life!” Dreki said and Hiccup grabbed a
towel and left to go get herself cleaned. As she got the bath ready, Dreki
commenced getting rid of all the clothes he despised the most. Most of the
clothes she had, had holes inside them due to her blacksmithing hobby and her
car repairing job. Once her dresser was nearly cleared, Dreki took the clothes
and burned them, the ashes floating off into the air. “Hey Brooke!” Dreki called. Hiccup arose from the shower, her hair tied in a towel
and another wrapped around herself. She peeped outside the bathroom, making
sure that Dreki wasn’t out. Once she deemed it safe, she left the bathroom and
made it to her room. She closed the door and looked at her bed, soon seeing the
clothes she set out were gone. “Probably stole them as some sick joke.” Hiccup said and
made her way to the dresser again. She dug through her dresser only finding
skinny jeans and mini skirts or bright shorts. She looked through her closet
only finding mini dresses or revealing shirts. Hiccup frantically looked for
something that would cover her but found none. “DREKI!” Hiccup screamed her face red with rage. “What?” Dreki asked, peeping in. “What happened?” Hiccup asked, she pointed at her closet.
Dreki looked inside and inspected the closet. He turned back and said “You got
new clothes?” “I got new clothes again!”
Hiccup said. “You know how long it took me to get my old ones back!” “I still don’t understand why you buy those ones though.”
Dreki said, taking a doll dress and holding it up to her. “You’ll look great
and all the better sexy.” Hiccup slapped him, her
face blushing red at the word. “Dreki, I don’t dress like that!” Hiccup said, she was
massaging her temples now. “Oh my god, I have work today…” “Then wear this.” Dreki said and presented her was a
baggy shirt that was obviously his and tight jeans. Hiccup only glared as she
grabbed the clothes and said through gritted teeth “Get out of here.” Dreki left the room,
leaving Hiccup alone to change. Many minutes later, Hiccup was dressed. She pulled at the
shirt, her bra strap was showing. As she was passing, she spotted “What’re you painting?” Hiccup asked, when “Master Dreki asked me too!” “Get out of my line of vision.” Hiccup demanded and ~ * ~ Hiccup was tightening the bolts on a car engine, her
shirt hanging on her shoulder a bit. Her boss soon tapped her shoulder and said
“You appear to be showing off today…” “Sorry, it’s my….friend; he wants me to show off more of
my body.” Hiccup replied. Her boss handed her a rubber band which she grabbed a
good chunk of the shirt and tied it up so it would tighten around her. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think this boy really
liked you Sirius.” Her boss said, his beefy arms were crossed now and he raised
an eyebrow. “Oh no, he’s gay…” Hiccup lied, he face was heating up
now. She quickly returned to work, wiping the sweat from her forehead as she
desperately tried finishing her work at a much faster pace. The car was soon
fixed, sending it off with its owner and getting paid. Hiccup stuffed her pay
in her back pocket and ran back to the shady spot she always sat at when on
break. She had her bottle of water so she dumped the water on her head to cool
herself off. The breeze blew by and Hiccup closed her eyes to enjoy it. That
was until a foot made contact with her throat throwing her on her back and
causing her to gag. Looking up, it was none other than Anastasia. Anastasia
crossed her arms and glared down at Hiccup, Hiccup rubbing her neck. “Why?” Hiccup asked, her voice cracking due to the kick. “Get up, we’re finishing what we started.” Anastasia
said, bracing herself. “You know I don’t wanna fight.” Hiccup said. “Anastasia
please.” “Don’t call me that…” Anastasia grumbled. “Not even my
real name.” “Then what is it?” Hiccup asked. A sly smile spread on
Anastasia’s, or whatever her name was, lips as she came closer and placed a
finger over her lips. “You have to guess.” She replied. “Every time you’re
wrong, I beat you up.” “Gee, that’s comforting.” Hiccup said sarcastically. “Why
can’t you just tell me, we could be friends.” “Oh you haven’t changed.” Anastasia mumbled. “Just guess
and we’ll see how you’ll manage.” Hiccup thought about it,
looking at the girl closely. She had a fiery attitude yet porcelain like
feature, her hair mysterious as if capable of drifting into the shadows, her
skin a milk chocolate color and a gorgeous figure. “Bianca?” Hiccup guessed only getting kicked into the
side and slamming into the tree next to her, the blow so powerful that the tree
shook and leaves fell from the branches. Hiccup groaned in pain at her hurt
side and aching shoulder. As she slid down to her bottom, Anastasia only giggled
in a sinister way, almost coming out in a hiss. “Nope, wanna guess again?” Anastasia asked, her brown
eyes that seemingly gave happiness really emitting darkness. Hiccup shot up,
trying to land kicks at Anastasia but she easily blocked her. She grabbed
Hiccups leg, twisting her leg and hitting Hiccup in the side with her palm. A
force was sent through Hiccups body, causing her to cough up small specks of
blood and fly from place. She hit the wall hard and laid there unconscious.
Anastasia only cracked her knuckles as she made her way back. Hiccup stirred
soon getting up and rubbing the back of her head to dull the pain. “Hiccup, you okay?” her boss asked, examining the back of
her head and seeing the blood. He quickly pressed a wet cloth on her head and
ordered one of his workers to get bandages. He wrapped her head and said “This
is bad.” “I’m fine…” Hiccup said, but then felt her head throb.
The door suddenly flew open, Dreki was there looking worried. “What happened?” Dreki asked. “I don’t know.” The boss said. “Who’re you anyway?” “My friend!”
Hiccup quickly covered up. The boss nodded and said “Take her home please,
Hiccup you’ll be taking a few days off.” © 2011 Imagination-mageReviews
